Become a Director

The Crane Lake Board has room for up to 12 Board Members, as per our Articles of Association. Through various retirements over the past few years, there are now several vacancies on the board and we want you! Board Members are nominated at the Annual General Meeting - July 9th, 2016. 

Board Members are expected to attend between 3 and 5 meetings over the year, as well as the Annual General Meeting. Most meetings take place during the summer at Crane Lake with one meeting in Toronto during the early winter. Those unable to attend the Toronto meeting can call or Skype in to participate.

Proposed Changes to Crane Lake Resort

Changes have been proposed to the Crane Lake Resort. A Public Hearing will be held July 15, 2016 where the extent of the proposal will be reviewed. The CLA is closely monitoring the situation and will be in attendance.

Water Safety on Crane Lake

When July arrived, it was like a switch was turned on and the weather became consistently gorgeous and the lake temperature increased remarkably. It was a welcoming invitation to jump in the lake or go for a ski or an exciting ‘tube’ ride! However, with the enjoyment of water sports comes the seriousness of water & boating safety. As we enjoy these last months of summertime activities, please be respectful of others and remember these important points.

Fire Safety - AEDs on Crane Lake

As a member of the Crane Lake Association, you are likely aware of the 5 Fire pumps spread around the lake (6 including the one on the Fire Boat) which are available for cottagers to use in an emergency.

Did you also know that along with each fire pump there is a portable AED? What’s an AED you may ask?
