2022 Lollapalooza

The weather on Crane Lake Saturday, couldn’t have been better for spending time on the water with family and friends.  We’re thrilled that 27 cottages decided to do just that by participating in the Crane Lake Landmark Lollapalooza Poker Run. 

It was a ton of fun greeting cottagers at the Fire Boat and then again at one of the 4 other landmarks where they were given a poker card after answering a trivia question, playing a card game, receiving a jumbo freezie or learning how to start one of the CLA’s portable fire pumps and knocking a plastic goose off a ladder.  The more people who know how to use our fire pumps on the lake the better off we all are!

In the end, we had to determine who had the top 5 poker hands and award each of those teams with a new fire extinguisher for their cottage.  In addition, cottager Bob Ferguson created a beautiful winner’s plaque from a Crane Lake tree which was awarded.  Winners were:

#2 – Arlo’s Krew

#3 – Reed’s

#4 – Duimering’s

#5 – Sunny Breezes

Fire Safety - AEDs on Crane Lake

As a member of the Crane Lake Association, you are likely aware of the 5 Fire pumps spread around the lake (6 including the one on the Fire Boat) which are available for cottagers to use in an emergency.

Did you also know that along with each fire pump there is a portable AED? What’s an AED you may ask?

Fire & Water Safety Flyer

The Crane Lake Association has developed a simple Fire Safety brochure which we suggest you print out and post in a prominent place in your cottage. This is a great refresher for owners and invaluable information for guests and cottage renters. As a bonus we’ve added Water Safety tips to this brochure as well.
