Fire Safety Committee & Hazard Marking Update

Fire Safety Committee & Hazard Marking Update

The Bump Rock Buoy is back in place as of the afternoon of May 26th, with thanks to Gary Mueller for knowing exactly where to find Bump Rock!  The buoy came loose because some galvanized steel clips on the tether cable rusted through.  The new clips on the cable are stainless steel.

The permanent buoy will be back in Overflow Bay shortly but the temporary buoy is there now to mark the shelf.  The narrows buoy will be back in place by the time the water level drops to the point where the hazard is dangerous.

All of the AED’s are now back in the pump boxes and on the fire boat.

The fire boat is in the water (thanks Mike & Mike) and operational.  Fire Safety Committee personnel will be doing some cleanup and testing over the next couple of weeks.
