Fire & Water Safety Flyer

Crane Lake Fire Safety & Water Safety Flyer is NOW AVAILABLE

Did you know that as a property owner, you are responsible for the actions of family members, guests and renters occupying a property?  This includes any fines levied and any recovery of costs relative to the investigation of a complaint about Fireworks or Campfire infractions, or the dispatching of Municipal Law Enforcement or Fire Fighting personnel and equipment.

One of the most dangerous situations to consider at a cottage in the woods is FIRE.  It’s important that everyone at your cottage knows what to do in case of a fire and also how to prevent a fire in the first place.

The Crane Lake Association has developed a simple Fire Safety brochure which we suggest you print out and post in a prominent place in your cottage.  This is a great refresher for owners and invaluable information for guests and cottage renters.  As a bonus we’ve added Water Safety tips to this brochure as well.

You’ll quickly see:

  • How to check the current Township of the Archipelago Fire Rating

  • When you can have a campfire

  • What to do in case of a fire

  • When you can/can’t use fireworks

  • How to contact the By-Law Enforcement Officer to report Fire and Fireworks By-law infractions

  • Where to get more information about the CLA’s Fire Pumps/Boat and AED’s
